Downhole Products is a British based company with headquarters in Aberdeen, Scotland, UK and offices in the USA, Asia & the Middle East.
Founded in 1994, and internationally renowned as a market leader, Downhole Products designs, manufactures and supplies a range of casing accessories and completion tools, including centralisers, reamer guide shoes and cable clamp protectors.
Our products include: Spir-O-Lizer Centralisers, Spir-O-Lizer Blade Runner Centralisers, Spir-O-Mizer Centralisers, Econ-O-Glider Centralisers, Pen-O-Trator Reamer Guide Shoes, Pilot Guide Shoes, and ‘Grippy’ Cable Clamp Protectors.
Keeping pace with technology and the ever increasing demands of the oil and gas industry, Downhole Products is committed to ongoing in-house research and development in order to meet and surpass the exacting requirements of its clients.
Our UK facility also accommodates Downhole Products Engineering, with the provision of a purpose-built precision machine shop, with availability 24/7. Utilising the latest CNC machines and other ancillary equipment, we can provide for both oil industry and non oil industry requirements.

Downhole Products continues to strengthen and develop its UK and overseas marketplace, valuing and building on strong customer relationships in order to provide field-proven, trouble-free solutions for running casing, liner and screen to depth.

- 1994 – company startup
- 1994 – BP Wytch Farm deployed of Spir-O-Lizer Centraliser
- 1997 – moved to present facility
- 1998 – launch of the Pen-O-Trator Reamer Guide Shoe
- 2000 – launch of the Spir-O-Mizer Casing Centraliser
- 2001 – launch of the Econ-O-Glider ST Casing Centraliser
- 2002 – extended premises to encompass Downhole Products Engineering
- 2002 – opening of DHP USA – Houston Office
- 2004 – launch of the Econ-O-Glider Casing Centraliser
- 2005 – launch of the Spir-O-Lizer Blade Runner Casing Centraliser
- 2006 – launch of the ‘Grippy’ Control Line Protector Clamp
- 2008 – opening of Downhole Products Middle East Office – Bahrain
- 2008 – Downhole Products awarded the ‘Queens Award for International Enterprise’
- 2008 – acquisition of Downhole Products – Downhole Products – a Varel International Energy Services Company
